Niche
The bottle nose dolphin’s habitat is tropical waters around the world. Tropical meaning, they live in warm waters, places with warm climates.
The bodies of the offshore bottlenose dolphin help it conserve heat and defend itself against predators.
They usually hunt in pods 2-20 dolphins. They hunt small fishes, squids and crustaceans. There have been instances where pods of dolphins have eaten sharks when threatened or in danger.
They are eaten by aggressive sharks and orcas leaving them at nearly the top of the food chain.
