CLIMATIC CHANGES
As climate changes and it causes the sea and oceans to warm, dolphins are being seen more frequently in colder waters outside their historic ranges. Due to the rapidly rising ocean temperatures, the dolphins primary food sources are seeking deeper cooler waters. Therefore, the dolphins will have difficulty adapting as quickly as necessary to find new feeding grounds to sustain their population.
HOW PROBLEM IS FACED
Dolphins are one of the most historic species of the marine world. their echolocation skill has helped them with this draw back. Although there has been difficulty adapting to the temperatures they have been able to see past this since they can now find food. Due to their friendly playful nature dolphins have captured the hearts of humans making us humans very interested in their lives. many countries are now researching and monitoring their dolphins to ensure their survival.
FISHING
Although humans do show the tendency to care about dolphins they do play a great role in the problems they face moreover they don't only reduce their food supply by over fishing but they also use nets and traps that the dolphins get caught in and are severely hurt.
HOW PROBLEM IS RESOLVED
Around the world seasons for fishing are being established. This means that there's only certain times a year you are allowed to fish for certain types of fishes. There are now dolphin safe nets that has reduced the amount of dolphins caught each year although the amount is still at a high it is still less than what it use to be. The MMPA (Marine mammal protection act) have put laws in place where they have to oversee the businesses that fish on large scales to make sure that they are not harming any animals other than does intended to be caught.
